Hello,

I recently attempted to broadcast on Twitch, but unfortunately experienced issues with either pixelation or frame rate drops and lagging. My computer’s specifications are:
CPU: i5 4690K
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 3GB
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
Storage: 500 Seagate HDD
Power Supply: be quiet! 500W

I believe my PC is fairly powerful, and I typically achieve frame rates of 100 to 200+ in games like CSGO, H1Z1, and Fortnite, even when playing on the lowest settings. My Streamlabs configuration includes:
NVENC settings:
Output Resolution: 1280x720
Frame Rate: 30 fps
Bitrate: 2000, which doesn’t improve the stream quality further; it remains pixelated despite my decent internet connection and using a cable. I consistently maintain a latency of around 12ms in games.
X.264 settings:
Output Resolution: 1280x720
Frame Rate: 30 fps
Bitrate: 2000, my stream appears visually satisfactory to me, but now the streaming frequently lags and suffers from significant frame rate drops and freezes. However, my game performance remains excellent, separate from the stream output.

At this point, I’m unsure of how to proceed. Many streamers with less impressive PCs and internet speeds still produce good-quality streams, which is puzzling to me. Please advise me on what steps I can take.

If you describe something as satisfactory, what speed is your internet service provider’s plan? Considering your hardware configuration, individuals with more powerful systems often encounter problems with their video streams. It’s technically not feasible to use DDR4 memory with an i5-4690K processor because the memory controller is designed to handle DDR3 RAM only.

You could investigate streamers who use equipment with lower specifications than yours to illustrate your point. YouTube content should be viewed critically, particularly when considering the streamers who produce it.
