Greetings,

I'm experiencing significant difficulties. I recently assembled a new computer (the specifications are below) and am encountering a frustrating problem: nearly every game I attempt to play consistently runs at frame rates between 40 and 60, with some titles—such as Fallout 4—dropping even further. This issue persists regardless of my chosen graphics settings. I’ve attempted to resolve this by completely removing and reinstalling all drivers, and while I successfully reduced my GPU temperatures (reaching approximately 83°C), which prompted me to increase fan speeds when temperatures approached 55-60°C, this did not resolve the underlying problems. Furthermore, I suspect that this issue may also be impacting an emulator called Bizhawk.

Would anyone be able to offer any guidance or perhaps assist with troubleshooting in a different approach? My system should comfortably handle high settings at 1080p resolution, yet it struggles to even perform this basic function without noticeable lag.

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804)
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model: B450M DS3H
BIOS: BIOS Date: 01/25/19 13:41:46 Ver: 05.0000D (type: BIOS)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-Core Processor (16 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 16334MB RAM
Page File: 7416MB used, 9941MB available
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
Dedicated Memory: 8079 MB
Shared Memory: 8167 MB
