Hello everyone, I hope you're all well! Stay safe and healthy. I realize many of you have a lot of gaming experience, so I thought it would be good to share this. I don't know why, but whenever I play Half-Life 2, I feel like I might vomit—especially while driving the boat. I usually only play for about 15 minutes before having to close it. It's really strange...

I recall this was a problem for many players when the game launched. Adjusting the view angle might have helped some (it could be in the settings or requires console commands).

I experience comparable symptoms when playing at a low field of view (around 70°) or with excessive camera movement. Review the settings if you have control over them.

Play Half Life Alyx next, which may cause VR discomfort instead of traditional motion sickness.

You can accomplish nearly everything using console commands in that engine. Forgot about it!

Also keep in mind that increasing the gap between your head and the screen improves comfort. Motion sickness during gaming often stems from a mismatch between what your eyes see and what your brain perceives. The further you back you sit, the more these perspectives align.
