I understand this might draw some criticism, but I've loved Windows 10 for a long time. Since the update a month ago, my system has been acting up a lot. Issues include: Steam sometimes removing my games unexpectedly, frequent scan warnings that demand settings adjustments, and being unable to uninstall Steam through the Programs menu. File Explorer keeps freezing during critical tasks. I'm reaching the point where a full reinstall seems necessary unless someone can guide me through it.

You must update your Microsoft account to allow apps on other devices to work properly.

It seems you're experiencing some issues, and you're curious about the antivirus software you're using. I'm not aware of any recent Windows updates linked to this problem, but I understand concerns about antivirus affecting game performance or directories. Let me know if you'd like advice on troubleshooting or choosing a solution.

Consider removing the app and preventing updates unless certain details are confirmed.

Upgrading to Windows 10 instead of a clean install means you're solely responsible for the issue.

I've relied on AVG for my protection.

I purchased a Windows 10 edition during my setup process a year ago... It wasn't an upgrade from versions 7 or 8.

Check for updates on your SATA controller drivers. For Intel-based controllers, they’re built into the motherboard’s chipset. Apply the necessary updates and restart your device afterward.
