Experiencing issues with expected frame rate?
I've customized my PC about two years ago with these settings, but performance in games like CS:GO and Valorant hasn't met expectations—FPS is consistently lower than 400-500. I understand the human eye can't see that much, but I still want to achieve it. Over time, I've changed and reinstalled Windows multiple times. Thanks ahead for your help! OS: Windows (debloated with microwin and winutil) 12700KF 3070ti 32gb RAM @ 3600Mhz
I have a 240hz 1080p 27-inch display, and the jump above 300 fps becomes nearly impossible to notice. That’s not about matching specs or configurations—I’m actually benchmarking against users with less powerful rigs, like an i5 12th gen CPU paired with a 3060 Ti, which is achieving 350+fps while I’m stuck at most 300fps. This person’s setup, featuring a 12400F and a 3060 Ti, is consistently around 300fps on average under competitive settings I run.
He’s achieving around 277 frames per second even when using reduced settings, which is less than the 300fps you mentioned.
It’s clear you’re focused on optimizing performance. At 240Hz you’re close to the ideal frame rate for most games, though human reaction times are around 250ms—so you’re in a good range. Your RAM type matters too; DDR4 is more common and stable, while DDR5 offers higher speeds but may require newer hardware. Let me know what you have!
Human vision processes images up to 1,000 frames per second, but this depends on the display's refresh rate, which no one can match. Our minds blend those details so we perceive smooth motion rather than exact numbers. The game CS:GO is no longer available, making a direct comparison to CS2 unfair. Valorant offers a more balanced experience for evaluation.
He mentioned two years prior to now, referring to the time when the system was developed using CS:GO.
