I switched to Windows 11 about a week ago. Recently, I experienced occasional freezes in WoW while switching between Firefox on my second monitor and returning to WoW. It doesn’t always happen, but it’s somewhat bothersome. I’ve tried disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox to check for improvements, but it hasn’t helped. Reinstalling the Nvidia drivers didn’t resolve the problem either. Anyone else face similar issues? Your specs are: CPU 5900X, GPU Strix 3080, 32GB RAM at 3600MHz, MoBo Gigabyte Aorus Master x570.

Change WoW settings to use DirectX 11 instead of DirectX 12. Mine is running very slowly in DX12 mode.

I'll give it a shot, though I ran it in DX12 on Windows 10 and didn’t run into any problems.

I begin with DDU and reinstall drivers completely. Next, I'll verify temperatures and confirm you've updated the BIOS along with the most recent microcode for your CPU/chipset.

All vehicles were recently updated, BIOS is current. This issue started after switching to Windows 11—it hasn’t occurred before with Windows 10.

Sure, it's conceivable that the Windows 11 update included a standard graphics driver which might lead to problems, potentially requiring DDU to delete it.

I might have identified the problem. I checked online and it seems the hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows settings could have been the cause.
