Experiencing intermittent performance delays in specific games following fan maintenance.
I am a new forum user with an Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop. My computer functioned correctly until I opened it to clean the fans due to a heating problem. Following the cleaning, I have begun experiencing intermittent lag at regular intervals, but this issue is limited to playing newer, graphically demanding games such as Devil May Cry 5. Games like Dead Cells and Risk of Rain 2 operate without problems. I am seeking potential solutions to this problem.
When you play older games like Dead Cells and Risk of Rain 2, if your understanding is correct, the issue arises when older games run fine while newer ones lag. Your laptop's specifications and operating system could be the reason for this disparity, as it may not adequately support newer games. Additionally, cleaning the fans could have dislodged other components; therefore, consider reopening your laptop to verify that all connections and components are securely in place.
Previously, the games functioned properly before maintenance. I recently discovered that Skyrim is also experiencing issues. Performance problems are not linked to hardware specifications, as everything operated smoothly prior to the cleaning. Upon reopening Skyrim, I did not observe any abnormalities, though I lack professional expertise in troubleshooting.
