I have several titles on Uplay, and they all run smoothly on my laptop (Lenovo Y50-70, i7 4720HQ, GTX960M). Recently I upgraded to a desktop (R5 1600, GTX1080) but almost every game from Uplay fails to launch. I notice the first frame appears, then the file stops working. I reached out to Ubisoft, who said my monitor (2560x1080, 75Hz) is the issue. If I’m not disposing of a brand new screen just because they can’t fix it, do you think there’s any chance? I’ve tried all their advice—checking files, moving launchers, updating drivers, changing resolution to 1920x1080 at 60Hz. Nothing helped. The only working game is The Crew, likely because it runs at 60fps. Assassin's Creed 3 and 4, FarCry 3, Blood Dragon, Watch Dogs all crash on startup. Any suggestions other than avoiding Ubisoft titles?

Reinstalled Uplay too. There are many odd patches available.

Attempted several times. Also tried clearing the cache, removing Aorus, and checking online resources. Still encountering these issues.

Consider disabling uplay's overlay, as it has previously caused issues.
