About two years ago I purchased an Asus GA503QR laptop. It features a Ryzen 9 5900HS RTX 3070 processor, 16 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory with 8 GB soldered directly onto the motherboard, and 8 GB in SODIMM slots (stock model: Samsung M471A1G44AB0-CWE). According to CPU-Z timing data, the RAM timings are CL:22, tRCD:22, tRP:22, tRAS:52, tRC:74, CR:1T. Interestingly, the soldered RAM isn’t listed in the .txt report from CPU-Z, which is puzzling. I later bought a higher-capacity version (M471A2K43DB1-CWE), a 16 GB SODIMM at the same speed, but it still experienced frequent BSODs—often showing "Memory management" errors. Now I’m considering upgrading to more RAM, though I want to avoid crashes. Any suggestions on how to add more memory safely? Thanks for your guidance—I’d appreciate it if you could help.
Make sure you're using the newest BIOS version. Your setup looks solid with two 16GB 2Rx8 drives and a 5800H processor. You might want to test a 1Rx8 drive to see if it improves performance. The official Kingston site offers options, but it's uncertain if they've shifted to 1Rx8 yet.
