Experiencing difficulties launching games due to Easy Anti-Cheat protection.
I recently upgraded my computer, and now I am unable to run games utilizing Easy Anti-Cheat like Fortnite, Paladins, and PUBG. I have attempted repairs and followed all recommended steps on the Easy Anti-Cheat support page. My troubleshooting extended to a complete system wipe and Windows reinstall via USB drive, including wiping all storage drives. Despite these efforts, the game will not launch. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Following a complete Windows reinstall, I initially disabled the Q-Installer in the BIOS, though its effect remains uncertain. Subsequent to downloading all necessary files and testing Paladins after each download, the game functioned correctly until I modified my NVIDIA control panel settings. Upon reverting those settings to their defaults, the issue arose immediately with the first adjustment – Image Sharpening – causing games utilizing Easy Anti-Cheat (Fortnite, PUBG, and Paladins) to fail to launch. The problem has been resolved through these steps, and I appreciate the assistance provided.
Certain system utilities, such as hardware driver checkers, performance monitoring programs, and onscreen data displays, may trigger anti-cheat systems due to their data collection activities. Attempting to disable or remove these tools might resolve the issue.
My configuration includes a central processing unit, RAM, storage devices, and a graphics card. I am configured to automatically download and install Windows drivers through Windows Update; however, for optimal performance and stability, I also utilize manually installed drivers for critical components like the graphics card and chipset.
I recently allowed Windows to update automatically, without installing any additional programs myself aside from Discord and software for managing my devices (including GHUB and Astro Command Center). Furthermore, I permitted my motherboard’s Q-Installer to update its components, such as Intel Rapid Storage Technology and other related items.
I am unsure whether I performed a manual reinstallation of my video games or simply moved files from previous locations that had a different folder arrangement.
I meticulously reformatted all storage devices to restore their original state. I've exclusively experimented with Fortnite. However, no discernible alterations have occurred, leading me to conclude that Paladins and PUBG will likely fail to initiate as well.
