Hi, my PC has been running smoothly for over a year without any problems. Recently, about two months ago, it started crashing whenever I tried to play a game. It only crashes during gaming, not when just browsing or watching movies. The issue begins around an hour in, with the computer freezing, distorted audio, and then losing the HDMI signal. It keeps on running but shows no output. At first, I thought it might be due to overheating, but the CPU temperature is 64°C and the GPU is around 69°C in extreme cases.
I have a Ryzen 7 3700X, an RTX 3080, four 8GB GPUs, a GSKILL Trident Z Neo, a Nitro Kraken AIO, and an MSI Gaming Pro Max M.2 slot. I’m considering replacing the motherboard soon. Please offer some advice before making the purchase.
New motherboards won't fix the issue; most virtual Ryzen systems use slot numbers 2 and 4 for RAM, which supports better performance and stability. Remember this when setting up. An alternative could involve adjusting RAM settings, like boosting voltages.
I would execute sfc/scannow via CMD with admin privileges to check for any issues in the files. Additionally, I might confirm the integrity of the game files.
