Experiencing a sudden problem with your GPU?
This discussion has been updated based on examining dump files. Most issues were related to video TDR failure, though one involved internal video memory management. The same pattern continues; I’ve managed to restart the process by switching or unplugging the PSU briefly (possibly a failing PSU or capacitor). After reviewing forum comments and getting advice, I decided to perform a fresh Windows installation. However, after wiping the original drive, the OS encountered errors saying it couldn’t prepare for the next boot stage on both the intended drive and another M.2 slot. I recreated the installation media and tried again, but each time I restarted, the system failed to display properly—initially showing briefly before crashing. Eventually, after persistence, I got back to the install screen where it still blocked installation. I suspect other USB devices might be interfering, so I’m considering that too, along with removing additional drives if needed. The display problems during boot are new for me but seem more consistent with a failing GPU. While secondhand GPUs are expensive and new ones are costly, I’m still hoping this isn’t the case.
