Experienced an unusual issue with Windows 10.
I was playing Supreme Commander 2 with a friend recently. After finishing the match, I quit the game and everything froze. A light blue screen appeared, which disappeared quickly without displaying anything. Now, whenever I turn off my computer and restart the next day, I have to manually boot using F12 to start Windows 10. Could this indicate a problem in the BIOS or a failing hard drive? My defraggler says the HDD is in good health. Thanks for your help—I usually handle most issues myself, and this one feels new to me.
You might need to adjust the boot order in the UEFI settings. Were you installing Windows directly or did you opt for compatibility or BIOS mode?
Don't worry about crashes during the beta phase—it's not meant for beginners to rely on.
It seems like you found a straightforward solution. You saved Windows 10 from the site and installed it directly onto your desktop. I’m generally good at fixing most issues that aren’t related to BIOS, and I don’t usually interfere with the BIOS settings.
Verify the correct boot sequence in your BIOS settings. If this resolves the problem, please let me know so I can review further suggestions.
