Hi,
I own a PS4 and a PC, but my online gaming on PC has often been problematic compared to the smoother experience on the console. Initially, I thought it was related to the game itself, but after playing Apex on PS4 since its PC release, I’ve had no issues. Both devices are connected via the same router, though the PS4 is in the same room as the router. The PC is roughly 6 meters away, but I’ve noticed significant lag and even disconnections at times.

I’m curious about the cause—possibly the EA servers—and want to explore ways to investigate this and compare more accurately. If online gaming tends to be better on consoles than PCs in general, I’d prefer upgrading to a new console rather than a new GPU.

Please share your thoughts.

The amount of support the developers will provide for the PC version can differ. Not every PC is the same, so you need to fine-tune your settings for the best experience. On a console, you simply play the game without needing any adjustments. This depends on your personal preference for how you enjoy gaming. I enjoy experimenting with settings and optimizing games, as well as finding free and affordable titles on sale. But that's all about you and your gaming style.

In competitive shooters I usually adjust my graphics settings to match a higher frame rate suitable for my monitor. For single-player games I increase the graphics settings to achieve better visuals. Raising visuals in competitive games might lead to stutter or frame drops at unexpected times, depending on your computer.

I'm not referring to stutters but to delays and interruptions.
