Launching the settings app on my LAN PC triggers unusual CPU fluctuations (attached). The spikes disappear quickly once the settings window closes. They persist during heavy load until the dialog ends, and this hasn’t been a problem before. Hardware: Ryzen 5800X3D, GPU 3080FX, 32GB RAM, Corsair 3600MHz. Many games now require less CPU than before!

I'll review the latest Windows patches to determine if they align with when the problem started. Additionally, I'll check for any active auto-updates on drivers and security software. Best of luck!

Thanks! I've already reinstalled the latest Windows update. The issue persists on the second monitor when the app is running, and I've also attempted to reinstall the graphics driver without success.

Well, it doesn't seem like a hardware problem. You could always reset the boot drive and reinstall Windows. (That's what they call the quick fix...) Besides that, it might be that the settings app file became corrupted and is now causing problems. The file name was probably taskman.exe or taskmgr.exe, but it's generally not a good idea to modify system files. So I'm stuck.

It appears accessing bing.com was disrupted by a corruption issue. The "rewards sign in" button may have been affected.
