Experience issues with Windows XP Pro.
I'm dealing with an old Dell Latitude D620 running on different Linux distributions. Recently, I decided to reinstall Windows XP Pro so I could play certain games that only worked on XP. The setup went smoothly and the system booted correctly, but it doesn't recognize my wireless card or speakers, and I can't use headphones for sound. One game installation started but didn't play at all. What's happening? Why am I having such trouble with these games? (Imagine this in the year 1503 AD in the New World, with Command & Conquer Red Alert 2.) If anyone can help fix the laptop or find a solution to play these games, that would be amazing.
It sounds like you're facing a challenge without the necessary driver discs. That could be frustrating, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re completely stuck—there might be other solutions or alternatives you haven’t considered.
No, I don't have a flash drive or internet access on another device.
Sure, you can look up the drivers yourself or use online resources to find them.
