Hello, I hope everything is going well. I recently moved my PC to a new case and motherboard. When I tried to boot my old drives, I faced boot errors that Windows couldn't handle, and now I'm seeing multiple blue screens with different error codes. I've installed the new MOBO drivers, but the issues persist, possibly due to damaged system files. I'm looking for ways to fix this without formatting the drive. I'll be traveling soon and don't want to deal with installing large amounts of software. Thanks in advance.

It provides errors suggesting driver issues. After installing a new motherboard, it recommends reinstalling Windows.

Yes, you can remove the outdated drivers and install the updated ones, similar to using DDU.

Use Ghostbuster to remove outdated drivers for non-existent hardware. For refreshing older driver versions on the same device, proceed with caution. If issues persist, consider booting your current setup on fresh hardware—this avoids complications. Windows handles drivers intelligently for existing hardware only; new devices require distinct drivers with unique identifiers. It’s similar to switching graphics cards—Windows won’t force old Nvidia drivers for an AMD card. Hardware remnants from years of use, like unused drives or expansion cards, remain in the registry for future reference. If your system detects a new CPU, keep your previous one’s details in mind. Frequent hardware changes may leave traces in Device Manager or settings. Your challenge likely stems from physical components, not software conflicts.

I added a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM to my existing Windows 7 setup, but still experienced BSODs occasionally. A fresh install resolved the issues. However, I didn’t have time for that, so I handled it until I received a new SSD (planned for a few weeks later).

Yeah man, I did the reinstall just for peace of mind sake, but the problem persists still. I can't run a game for 10 minutes without getting a BSOD. My webpages crash constantly and everything is sucky. Removed the memory but to no avail.

Consider using the second stick. I suggested a single stick in case one fails. Add just the second ram stick and test it. For future attempts, allow a bit more time during reinstallation – it’s simpler to diagnose the issue (like in Event Viewer).

I attempted to check the event viewer but wasn’t sure about the BSOD logs, so I couldn’t separate them. It might just be a minor issue with my setup.

No, it doesn't. The signs of overheating vary. Have you verified the second RAM stick?

Windows successfully added AMD graphics drivers to my PC after a single use, several months later.
