I own an i7-13700k with the default cooling setup using nzxt x73. During intense gaming sessions it hits 89°C. I have the LGA1700 socket installed, have applied a sufficient quantity of thermal paste, and tightened the screws properly. Still can’t identify the issue.

89C remains far under the heat cutoff threshold, so you’re not experiencing overheating. It’s merely extremely warm, operates safely, and delivers optimal performance despite the elevated temperature.

It's only a slight temperature rise with a 360 AIO. Ensure enough airflow inside the case and keep the pump running at full speed on 12V, not PWM. Change the fan curve to full speed when temperatures reach around 70°C.

I'm new to PC stuff, so should I connect the pump cable to the CPU header or the AIO header? What does 12V mean here, and how do I set it up? By what voltage is this refers, and how can I make it stable at 12V? Is there a setting in BIOS for fan control that uses DC mode? Since my pump header has four pins, I was thinking PWM. Also, will running at 80-90°C affect my gaming performance? I thought lower temperatures would make the system run smoother, but I feel stuttering even with a 4090 processor. Thanks for your help!

Any PC configuration should keep all fans running at 60% capacity for both CPUs and GPUs. It’s not a high-temperature setup like a sauna, just a standard silicone-based build.

Your gaming laptop's CPU kept overheating above 80°C for over three years. Mining with your laptop GPU still performed just fine, showing the same speed as when you first bought it. Others have been mining nonstop for years and their GPUs still functioned within specs. Linus demonstrated this by testing GPUs even as old as the GTX 1060. It's hard to believe what some people think.

Huge difference between "I got away with it" and "I should", I don't deal with maybes. People with much money to waste are inconsiderate of those that don't.
