As the title indicates, I experience stuttering issues with PUBG, mainly during the start of matches when the countdown begins. The graphical settings don’t make much difference between low and ultra resolutions. I attempted to set the frame rate to 60 using nVidia Inspector, but VSync didn’t help. I disabled background programs, used a fresh Windows 10 Pro build 1709 installation, and tried the 1607 version. All game features were turned off in Windows and the Steam overlay. I disabled the page file and other settings without success. All drivers were updated, including the 388.71 NVIDIA drivers meant for PUBG. My system specs include a Ryzen 1600X, 1.25vcore, max temperature around 39°C (with Kraken X62), Corsair 2x8GB RAM at 3000MHz RGB (running at 2993 @ 1.35v), Samsung 850Evo 250GB drive, ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard, and a GTX1080 Auros 11GB RAM version (stock, GPU temp capped at 65°C during gameplay). I’m not sure about temperatures, but performance isn’t the problem. I’d appreciate any advice since I can’t afford to replace the game, as I purchased it through PayPal. Thank you ahead of time!

If you're experiencing massive rubberbanding and lag, it's likely related to their servers. Otherwise, it might be a CPU issue. After upgrading from 6600 to 8700k, with the exception of server-related problems, performance improved significantly. Even with a dense city GPU and 980ti, your 1080 graphics card shouldn't be the cause.

I believe the 1.0 is the final release, even though other games function well.

It seems there might be a technical concern. The suggested solution aligns with AMD's FX series for PUGB, not rubber banding. It appears to involve genuine system freezes rather than a simple adjustment.

It could have worked, but the performance wasn't great. Also, I believe it's no longer in early access.

Not the initial release anymore, and it's no longer in early access. Being on version 1.0 didn't necessarily fix many bugs.

It's actually pretty smooth when the FPS limiter isn't turned on, especially between 90 and 120 frames per second. There are occasional small lags, but they're not too obvious. The audio sometimes stutters along with the video, though it's barely noticeable. Plus, the game runs better on Intel systems.

I found this clip on Google; the stuttering appears similar to what you described, though it's not from PUGB but looks alike and the pauses are identical.
