when the pc connects to wifi it enters a boot loop. i've tested a usb dongle and an ethernet cable but the issue persists. i've checked all possible causes and still don't know what's wrong. could it be the motherboard or the cpu? since the problem only occurs during wifi connections with either method, it seems to be related to the wifi itself. the pc specifications are: cpu i7-4790k, motherboard asrock c266 ws, gpu evga gtx 1050 ti, 32gb ram, running windows 10 pro 64 bit.

Your PC is operational but tends to restart itself when trying to connect or establish a Wi-Fi link. If it runs fine otherwise but repeatedly shuts down and loops through boot sequences upon network attempts, I recommend checking for malware or other issues. A functioning system would likely reject such connections due to hardware problems, not malicious intent.

You should launch the antivirus after downloading it again. It works well until you connect to Wi-Fi, which is why it pauses. After wiping the drives, only standard Windows applications remain, so ensure the antivirus is installed properly.

When you restart your system, examine the Windows error logs using the search function. Navigate to the section labeled "Windows Logs" and explore entries under categories like Application Security Setup, System, etc. Click on each item to view detailed logs. You’ll notice yellow warnings and red errors indicating issues. Review these messages carefully to understand what occurred, including connection attempts, problems encountered, and shutdown reasons.

I think I’ll bring the PC to a tech expert since I don’t get any of EventViewer. It shows many warnings and errors, which makes me worry. I might be able to spot the problem, but it would probably take too much time. Thanks for your support!
