I work at 1440p and am evaluating this option. As long as I receive 40+ at native quality, it should be fine.

Suggests using a Radeon 7870 or GTX 660 for smooth performance.

Do Nvidia and AMD focus on updating their drivers for these early access titles? I believe they likely overlook them most of the time. On the other hand, with games like GTA V launching, they rush to enhance performance through driver tweaks.

ARK remains significantly under-optimized. I achieved roughly 30 to 40 frames per second at 1080p during low performance. However, since it's in early access, many changes are possible.

Performance remains inconsistent until a strong GPU is installed or a balanced setting mix is used. The pre-beta and post-beta updates are expected to focus on speed, while new features will roll out during the Alpha phase (rumors).

Developers must work with existing drivers. This situation feels unreal—4, the Ark team isn’t updating the renderer; likely they lack proper knowledge of LOD implementation.

My 780Ti runs at 1440p with about 40 frames per second for close-up views and detailed textures, even when idle.

Similar to 20 at reduced levels, your friend with 970 receives around 15-20.

I'd suggest 1 to 60 frames per second at a lower setting.
