Before you mention switching to Windows, I already have a gaming PC and recently got a Mac Book Pro for style and compactness. Can I still install an SSD on my Mac and run Windows immediately without using Boot Camp or doing the installation steps?

I agree, I don’t have any background in Apple devices.

To access all Windows drivers such as media keys and improved touchpad features, you need to bootcamp at least once. A Mac isn’t suggested as the sole platform for Windows.

I attempted this, but deleting the Mac partition leaves you with an unusable OS partition or similar issue.

I see you're considering different bootloader choices and want to know your reasoning. You mentioned having a gaming rig and believe Windows offers more advantages over macOS in that context.

A Windows computer refers to a personal computer running the Windows operating system, which is developed by Microsoft. It can also mean a proprietary PC designed by Microsoft, similar to a Windows mobile device.

Started with the bootcamp. You're using a much better OS now—take advantage of it. (Don’t waste time arguing that UNIX is better just because you haven’t tried it yourself.) No excuse for being confused, understand?
