Executing several games simultaneously on one machine.
Linus recently posted a video (title forgotten) showing him playing multiple games, similar to how many other gamers use one CPU. The machine he used had specs comparable to mine. If you have the video link, I can find out what software he used for Windows partitioning and organize a LAN party with my friends using my main gaming PC. Please share the URL if you'd like.
Key details:
- CPU: Intel Core i9 11900K
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (DDR4-3600, 128GB)
- GPU: Asus ROG Strix OC GeForce RTX 3090
- Running Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Zombies at 60Hz/1080p
- Purchased the game via Battle.net sale on three accounts
- Full specs available upon request
You must either build virtual machines or employ multi-platform tools to run several games on a single system. Each option has its limitations and isn’t straightforward setup. You can utilize software such as Aster to configure multipoint, enabling multiple users on one local machine. This process can be challenging because programs like Steam may resist having more than one instance on the same system, so you might need Sandboxie instead. Creating VMs with Hyper-V GPU partitions is possible, but many games with anti-cheat features dislike running inside VMs. I’ll try Aster to check if it meets your requirements.
