Executing Linux on a 2020 Razer 13'' monitor
Have you checked if others have managed to install a Linux version on this device? I've tested around ten popular distributions just to learn, but most turned out to be a waste of time. Some started up in a live setup if there was a compatibility mode, yet once installation finished they kept crashing with errors. I suspect the issue might relate to the Intel/Nvidia hybrid GPU configuration. I’ve seen similar problems on forums, but no one seems to have found a working solution. Basically, when it boots, it keeps failing repeatedly with different messages. I was considering Fedora or Pop OS, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Intel Core i7-1065G7搭配Windows 10 Home,13.3英寸12.3英寸显示器,120Hz刷新率,配备GeForce GTX 1650 Ti图形处理器和16GB RAM,存储空间为512GB SSD。
This is a pic I took yesterday for myself. The errors are pretty similar no matter which flavor I'm trying to boot.
I've checked what I can find, but it seems Nouveau is having trouble with your setup. It appears the GPU generation isn't functioning properly, and newer GPUs like RTX cause crashes. The LiveUSB version behaves unexpectedly. Have you tried disabling mode settings? You can find more details here: https://www.dell.com/support/article/en-...ux-booting
Install Manjaro (nVidia version) or PopOS (nVidia version) in your preferred desktop setup. It should install automatically if your BIOS settings are correct. Capture a photo of your BIOS screen if you encounter any problems.
I also experimented with adjustments in the grub file from other communities, but I plan to proceed and share my findings.
Thanks for the help. After spending a lot of time and checking other threads, it seems most of those who fixed the video still had issues. It looks like I might need to wait before proceeding.
