I sent a folder (using Windows Share) to my friend so he can view it and access all files. The folder holds server files. He needs to be able to start the server remotely. Since your server stays online 24/7 but you're away, you should configure it to allow remote access when he's not present. How would you like me to help set that up?

you can connect via VNC or teamviewer so he could remotely access your pc if you're comfortable with that

But if you don't want him to view all your files except the server folder, there are ways to adjust permissions. You might need to change access settings or use specific filters.

However, psexec reports an error and displays "Acess denied." When attempting to connect to your laptop, the server is not reachable.

Avoid limiting files to just your personal account and creating another user. Tools like VMC or TeamViewer are suitable alternatives.
