there’s an approach to set up a VM running Linux that can access the internet while keeping Windows 10 offline. You’d install network drivers on the Linux host but not on Windows, allowing it to connect without installing drivers on the Windows machine. This way, you can use one isolated Windows system and another dedicated Linux system for browsing.

The host runs a system where inWDOWS 10 is used, and since Hyper-V is involved, assigning an IP address isn't possible, so the switch functions properly.

The operating system in use is [OS name], and the hypervisor is [Hypervisor type].

It seems like you're trying to figure out what's happening with Windows 10 and a VM. Could you clarify your question?

Have you tried pro? Enable hyper-v and adjust the virtual switch configurations to prevent the host from accessing the network. Disabling the network shouldn't create any problems.

Yes, dual booting Linux is possible. You can install multiple operating systems on the same hardware and switch between them at startup.

Essentially, I don’t require Windows to connect to the network beyond what’s necessary for running browsers. I don’t see any need for internet access at all—just a basic connection for web use.

Security patches are essential—don’t run a hypervisor without them. Running Windows 10 as a hypervisor isn’t ideal, but Linux could serve as the host or you could use the free Windows Hyper-V server for basic needs. Since Windows 10 lacks DDA support in Hyper-V, you’ll need the host to handle networking. You can configure it so Windows and applications operate without network access.

For a device without internet access, it seems simpler to use just two machines together.
