After placing several pre-orders in 2014 that didn’t meet expectations, I thought I’d never order again. But then Just Cause 2 surprised me—it’s still one of my top picks. When Avalanche Studios revealed a collectors edition for Just Cause 3, I jumped at the chance and preordered it. Trusting a few key studios like Avalanche, Bethesda, Rockstar, and Nintendo made it worth it. I guess I’m not harming the industry; I’m just making smart choices.
Yup. You fucked up. What I learned from last year: Never pre order anything What I learned from this year (Arkham Knight): Trust no one with pre-orders, INCLUDING HIGHLY TRUSTED COMPANIES and to never get hyped from trailers. People always get hyped over nothing because the marketing works but they don't think about it in an actual game and I hate to see people fall time and time again for trailer fever.
The only game I’ve ever ordered in advance is a mainline Pokémon title. If I have a beast PC, then Elder Scrolls would be the next one.
Pokémon definitely stands out more than CoD in quality across all games. It seems Pokémon enthusiasts are heavily targeted compared to other players, while others complain about other developers. K human race, k
If those products were limited to pre-orders, I’d decline. However, if it’s a collector’s version you can easily obtain post-release, I still don’t think pre-ordering makes sense.
