Exciting GMMK RGB illumination issue encountered.
Exciting GMMK RGB illumination issue encountered.
The RGB illumination on my new GMMK1 full-size keyboard stopped functioning. It worked properly before I installed and set up the Glorious GMMK1 software for "s/n 201801 or other" (my serial number begins with 121160). It seems there might have been a clash between the Glorious Software and SignalRGB. The last thing I noticed was the white snake reset animation on the keyboard before it shut down—probably due to unexpected timing. The keyboard still operates normally, including the Numlock and Capslock indicators. I've tried several solutions: restarting my PC, using the keyboard with and without lighting software, testing FN key commands (including the reset sequence), and plugging it into another computer. Feel free to ask for more help! Any ideas would be appreciated.
The problem is identical for your 1211610 white full-size keyboard!
Interesting! Others have shared similar experiences. It's surprising this is occurring. I haven't found a fix yet. Feel free to share any findings here. Both Glorious and SignalRGB reached out, but neither resolved the problem. Glorious suggested checking my keyboard brightness—it was at maximum. Signal advised unplugging the keyboard for a while to complete a power cycle; my keyboard has been off for days and still doesn't work when plugged back in. To avoid stress, I'm using my Corsair K95 platinum and only connect GMMK when testing solutions. What have you tried?
Same issue with the GMMK White Ice edition, matching the serial number and everything. Attempted to install 201801 or another version but couldn't set up the keyboard at all. The next morning there were no lights, yet the keyboard still functioned properly. Have you discovered a solution yet? I reached out to their support, who asked me to share a video of the keyboard and related components.
Here is a possible solution. Let me know if you need adjustments!
I see you're facing the same problem and struggling to fix it. Have you tried resetting your keyboard settings or checking for any hidden issues? It might help to restart your PC and try different keys combinations. If nothing works, it could be a hardware issue.
Arrived late to the gathering, yet I faced the same issue on my board. I reached out to support for a while before they delivered an executable that instantly resolved the problem. I’d likely try support yourself first before using this file. My keyboard is full-size and my serial number begins with 202001.
