Hey everyone, I just played those games again and thought of similar open-world adventure titles with skill trees. Any suggestions?

It's possible you haven't encountered skyrim yet. It's often overlooked despite its popularity.

Consider monitoring systems? It works well when you ignore the poor results.

Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas offer a mix of adventure elements. The first is fully open world, while the second provides a more guided experience with quest-based restrictions. You mentioned earlier you’d like to try SOMA, which isn’t typically called an adventure game but has a compelling narrative and rewarding completion. If you haven’t played them, Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite, and Bioshock 2 are great options. The two main titles differ enough to enjoy both. Vanishing of Ethan Carter is also worth a look if you haven’t played it yet. For fans of shooter-style games like Farcry and Fallout, the Metro 2033 series might appeal, despite being mostly linear. STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl with the stalker mod feels more like Fallout 3, offering expansive maps and quests. Trine (across its two entries) delivers adventure vibes with solid graphics, while Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons blends puzzle-solving and suspense. The Penumbra series from the same developers as SOMA and Amnesia Dark Descent could also be worth checking out.

The Crew covers the whole continental US in an 8-foot format. GTA 5 offers open-world gameplay for players who enjoy that style.

If Unturned is a quest-based adventure, I’m the Pope. When it comes to following a compelling narrative or experiencing a tense, atmospheric horror without sudden shocks, I wholeheartedly support SOMA.
