I previously spent a lot of time in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 but haven't had a good flight sim since. I've been considering getting back in, but I'm unsure which one is the best now. What do people think about X-Plane and FSX? Are there other options worth checking out? I'm mainly interested in civilian and commercial aircraft, though it's fun to experiment with military equipment from time to time. Thanks in advance.

To the best of my knowledge, the only flight simulator that resembles a large flight experience is FSX. I haven’t come across any commercial or civilian aircraft simulators for a long time.

Did you mean X-Plane instead of X-Wing?
