Excessive PC gaming is negatively impacting my overall well-being.
Hello, I bought a gaming rig one week ago and the first day it was working fine. For three days, I performed benchmarks and tests with Nvidia settings and Windows 10 settings to optimize performance. I feel my PC is slowing down, possibly due to placebo or prior experience with similar performance issues from previous gaming rigs. I have FPS anxiety that detracts from game enjoyment, specifically experiencing FPS drops at the beginning of CS:GO and Danger Zone games. Can a PC's performance degrade within one week due to testing and settings changes? What can be done to alleviate this performance anxiety?
full system spec? include make and model of the psu
cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
ram/ssd/hdd usage during the game?
malware scan?
If you altered random settings, then likely you caused an error.
My GPU reaches approximately 70 degrees Celsius and my CPU reaches approximately 60 degrees Celsius under full load. GPU utilization is around 50 percent, while CPU utilization is around 25 percent. Disk usage is not significantly elevated; I have a Samsung 970 Plus EVO drive.
While testing power plans between High Performance and Balanced, I examined all settings within the NVIDIA Control Panel with the goal of optimizing my system's performance.
