For a retro vibe with FPS/RPG elements, try Deus Ex. It was a major contender for many accolades when it launched.

Personally, I think Journey is worth the cost of a PS3. It generally took home awards and even got a Grammy nomination. Still, Just Cause 2 is quite enjoyable.
