I recently discovered the Ryzen 5 3500x and checked its price. I’m considering upgrading from my 1600 to this model, but I won’t overclock it since my games don’t require it. I’m looking for a budget-friendly option and currently only see it on Ali Express for around $127 (not including shipping). What are everyone’s thoughts on this CPU? I’m sure my system should handle the 3000 series with my current board (Crosshair VI Hero with the latest BIOS). Let’s hear your opinions!
With a bit more cash you can easily buy a Ryzen 5 3600 and get double the threads.
