Hello, At our organization numerous users interact with folders on a mapped drive. While opening MS Excel files is straightforward, certain operations such as find and replace can cause Excel to refuse to respond. Are there any known fixes? Online resources don’t seem promising.

It isn't a mapping drive problem; everything will run locally within your system's memory. Excel has several constraints and tends to crash when you push too much of it. If you frequently handle big datasets that require updates, consider using a database instead.

The Excel program is set up locally, but the .xls file is stored on the network?
That shouldn't cause any issues.
This isn't an Excel-related concern...there are other matters at play.
