Evga gtx 970 ssc help
So I didn’t receive a response to my first post, maybe we’ll get some answers this time, right? I’ve been searching for a solid stable overclock for my card. Yesterday I thought I found it—+110 clock speed, +585 mem clock, +87 core voltage. My GPU tolerates only up to +100 clock speed without changing the voltage. Everything worked smoothly for an hour on the Valley benchmark. But now it’s not so lucky; it crashes right after startup. Another thing I’ve noticed is that my card’s usage never exceeds 80% on benchmarks or games. I think my system might be a bottleneck, but I’ll share my specs if I have to. My questions are why one day my OC works perfectly and the next it fails, and whether there’s a way to push the GPU to full usage. I suspect it’s the usage that’s the issue.
use this information to clear your GPU drivers.
download the latest nvidia drivers from the official site.
restart your system and reinstall the newest drivers.
this helps avoid conflicts.
turn off any overclocking or power settings you previously adjusted.
run a benchmarking tool such as unigine valley.
use msi afterburner to record your card's performance data.
check for 100% usage and ensure there is no throttling detected.
what is the setting for your power limit? how are you ensuring your card stays under 80% usage? which software are you employing to overclock? how many nvidia drivers have you installed? have you attempted to clear your gpu drivers using ddu?
you definitely don’t have a bottleneck. you should reach full capacity in tests like valley, etc.
your power limit setting is being adjusted to prevent your card from exceeding 80% usage. you're checking how the system identifies when the card isn't overused. you're using a specific program for overclocking and tracking usage. you've looked into flushing GPU drivers via DDU, but haven't seen improvements. you're unsure about the exact process but are testing it to see if it helps.

use that to flush your gpu drivers.

reinstall the lastest nvidia drivers.
that will rule out any driver conflicts. i would disable any overclock or any settings you have made made to the power limit and retest your card using a benchmarking program like unigine valley and have msi afterburner log your cards parameters to see if you are hitting 100% usage and there isn't any throttling going on.
