Hello! It so happens that I'm very bored of windows and it's endless problems that I've been having. So I wanted to try Linux, but there is a slight problem. Precision x1 used by evga products to control both fans on my graphics card is not supported on linux, So i've tried different solutions that others have tried regarding controlling fan speeds and such like coolbits and nvidia driver software thingy. It did it's job, but only on one fan. Since the fans on my graphics card are controlled separately and the 2nd fan is not detected by these softwares, I tried stressing my GPU to see if they start spinning by itself like they should at high temps, but they don't. I also considered leaving the second fan off, but that was an even dumber idea since my GPU started "throttling" because I think the power things got to warm. My question is, do anyone know a way to get around this? To make a fan curve on linux for this card. Or do I need to give up?

The ftw series Evga cards don't work with Linux by default. Many discussions show people confused about why only one fan spins while others stay idle. The Linux driver doesn't support nvapi, which is probably what precision X uses for managing the second and third fans on Evga cards. A possible workaround is to adjust fan speeds in Windows and then restart into Linux each time you power on your PC.
