I've been using this PC for several years, making occasional upgrades. Since May, after upgrading the GPU, I haven't experienced any issues. The performance has remained stable, especially during gaming sessions. Recently, I've started encountering problems mainly while playing Warzone. I keep seeing a DirectX error and the game crashes briefly—about a minute into play—before shutting down. When trying to launch Borderlands 3, it fails to reach the menu screen before crashing again. Playing Portal 2 has been smooth, and I’m fine when not gaming or online. I suspect the issue might be related to the GPU, though I'm not entirely sure. Temperatures have stayed normal, so overheating isn't likely.
I've updated my motherboard BIOS and performed a Windows update. I've reverted my GPU drivers back to the standard ones instead of the optional ones. The current driver version is 20.4.2. I've attempted to fix Call of Duty Warzone and Borderlands, but I'm unsure what to do next. I'm considering a hard reset of Windows and a full reinstall of software. I also plan to check my GPU manually.
Currently, the motherboard and hard drive remain unchanged.

I attempted that. The first attempt appeared to work without issues, but it identified over 30 million errors. Currently, it reports zero errors during the same session, yet my PC still freezes and seems to be stuttering. I ran Portal 2 on a different system the second time.
This appears to be the GPU issue. I recommend checking temperatures during 3D apps and games. If they're normal, the GPU might be failing. Consider removing it and reapplying thermal paste. If temperatures remain acceptable, the GPU is likely dead.
It's no issue, thank you for letting me know about the GPU failure. I'm sure the new one will work well.
