Everything is returning to its previous state
After installing KB4497165, you're experiencing strange problems such as box history disappearing during Hibernate, Shutdown or Restart events, and the system repeatedly returning to previous settings. Disk usage stays consistently high at 100-90%. Everything seems to be reverting to old configurations. You don't want a full restart—just figure out what to do.
Have you attempted to remove the update? If not, navigate to Control Panel → Programs and Features → View Installed Updates. Look for the update and tap on it. It may prompt you to approve.
