Hello everyone, I'm encountering a bizarre problem with my workstation. I recently purchased a new monitor, and while the built-in audio works perfectly, I'm experiencing a strange issue when trying to watch Netflix. The screen goes blank, and there's no audio at all. The only way to restore it is by unplugging and reinserting the HDMI cable. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I've attached a video for reference. P.S. Have you tried using Edge? It could potentially resolve your problem, though it’s likely to be at 720p.

It seems there may be an HDCP issue. Likely one of your devices or cables isn’t HDCP-compliant. After switching the monitor, it’s possible your display doesn’t support HDCP. The only fix is to use a monitor that does comply with HDCP standards.

Thanks for your dismissive reaction. That was a mistake from the auto-corrector. The actual term is HDCP, which is a patent held by Intel. Don’t be surprised.

Netflix appears to function on Linux, but currently lacks HDCP support there. This may vary based on whether you're using the mobile app on Windows or a web browser. I believe the app relies on HDCP since it handles better bitrates and resolutions compared to the browser version.
