Every other day white post appeared
Hello everyone, four weeks back I swapped my RTX 3070 for an RTX 4070 Ti (Asus Rog OC Edition). On startup it kept freezing on the yellow post LED, which I fixed by resetting the CMOS. After turning docp back on in BIOS everything worked fine. Around ten days ago the display wouldn’t power up with any connected devices—lights in mouse, keyboard, wireless hub stayed on—but inside the case LEDs operated normally. I resolved it by rebooting. Now every few days during boot it happens again. The yellow LED stuck to white, suggesting a GPU problem. After rebooting the PC everything functions properly, with no crashes or blue screens. The other days it boots fine on the first try. I’m using this system: Asus TUF Gaming X570-plus Ryzen 5800X 32GB (4x8) DDR4 3600 CL 16 silent power 11 750W (Titanium rated), connected via a 12VHPWR cable from Bequiet. Do you think there’s a common reason for this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
discarding concepts, perhaps the card isn't properly placed. consider reinserting your 3070 for a few days to check if the problem continues. this way, you'll be sure whether the issue lies with the GPU.
Update the newest BIOS for your motherboard. Install the latest GPU vBios. Try again.
You can look for vBios on official websites or forums that support your GPU model. Check manufacturer resources or community platforms for downloads.
Typically found on website pages for cards. Occasionally appears in the TechPowerUp database. An example shows @jigetuz with a link to a specific product page. The description mentions updating the BIOS to enhance compatibility.
It seems the latest version of vBios for your card isn't available yet.
I never put one in at all, perhaps it simply disappeared from being.
Your card comes with a factory vBios. All cards do. Manufacturers only put newer vBioses (firmware) on their websites if there's a need to fix something. And it often happens that nVidia or AMD fix something and the manufacturers don't even bother with publishing newer bioses on the websites.
