Ever get a crash when I start a game? Is it because of bad hardware?
This started about nine months ago when my PC got dropped and fell around then. Since that day, I've swapped the case for new ones, fixed the hard drive, and added more cooling fans to make sure everything works better. It runs normally most of the time, but when I game, it freezes up to thirty seconds and keeps happening over ten minutes or an hour while I play. I can't even tell what games are causing this because so many different ones freeze sometimes. The only games that don't seem to freeze are a few small or simple titles, though some of those do freeze too. I fully replaced the hard drive and saved nothing; I just wiped everything clean and reinstalled fresh software. That means it's definitely a hardware problem but not sure which specific parts need fixing. Both the video display and the audio are frozen, so I'm wondering if my graphics card is broken. Any ideas about what part could be causing this if something goes wrong? Thanks! Edit: Just to mention that it's more like the whole PC freezing than just the game itself. I can't use key combos to switch between games while a freeze happens, and I can't do quick hotkeys either. I just have to wait it out until the system comes back to normal again.
Hi there, could you tell me exactly what kind of computer you have? I need to know the exact name and model so we can figure out why things are acting up.
