Event ID 41 occurs when the screen goes black and fans spin rapidly.
I encountered an issue recently while playing R6. My screen went black, the fans sped up, but the computer kept running and the game audio played. I had to turn it off manually using the power button. After this happened twice, I began troubleshooting. I didn’t get any error codes, but in the PC Management I saw “Kernel-Power Event ID 41” with all data marked as 0 or false. I started a series of checks: updated drivers, disabled fast startup, performed a GPU stress test, ran memtest, reinstalled Windows, replaced the power supply and installed new RAM, and updated the BIOS. None resolved the problem. I recreated the issue around 15 times, only when running demanding games like God of War 2018, R6, or Overwatch. It always resulted in a black screen, fans spinning, but the PC stayed on. I also tried leaving it in that state for about five minutes before shutting it down. Thanks for any suggestions. This indicates the system booted up but couldn't locate a valid reason for the shutdown. Check earlier logs for other errors or dig deeper. Disable XMP/DOCP and retry. Despite AM4's maturity, I still see many RAM problems.
