Hello, my computer has been acting strangely lately. During gameplay, it tends to run for roughly 15 seconds to several minutes, and I’m puzzled about the large time differences. Once that happens, my screen and devices shut down completely, though the PC remains powered on. The fans spin and the RGB lights stay on. I attempted to change display connections but had no success. Pressing and holding the power button doesn’t turn it off; only switching the PSU off resolved the issue. After that, I can restart and it functions normally except when playing games.

I checked the event logs and found one notable entry: ID 14 nvlddmkm. It indicates a problem with the nvlddmkm service—possibly missing installation or a corrupted component. I also left a note summarizing this situation.

Recently, I swapped out my CPU from an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X to a Ryzen 9 5900X. I also removed two old case fans and added two more. While working on it, I took the GPU and RAM out for easier access. I took care to avoid touching them while handling the components.

I didn’t experience any static discharge issues during this process. The problem began after I made these changes. I tried several troubleshooting steps:

- Reinserted the GPU to confirm placement.
- Reinstalled and updated drivers.
- Returned to an older driver version.
- Performed a clean Windows installation.
- Removed drivers using DDU and let Windows handle them.
- All attempts failed.

Now I’m considering replacing the GPU, PSU, and motherboard, which are expected to arrive soon. I’m trying to figure out what might be causing this issue before making the switch. I was hoping you could offer suggestions on further steps to resolve it without buying a new machine. Thank you for your help!
