Your computer has been shutting down unexpectedly at intervals, and the Event Viewer shows this warning. The issue might stem from the system restarting without a clean stop, possibly due to unresponsiveness, crashes, or power loss. The detailed log includes timestamps, error codes, and technical specifics about your hardware. You've already attempted fixes but the problem persists, especially during gameplay. Your machine runs on Intel i9-12900K with a 12th Gen CPU, and the GPU is MSI GeForce RTX 3090.

I'm using a standard PSU, but I can adjust it based on your needs.

You should start by checking the available sources related to the event. Look for documentation, reports, or discussions that might explain what occurred. If you're unsure, consider reaching out to relevant experts or communities for guidance.

Are there other potential reasons for the error or solution you should try first? If the power supply is indeed faulty, would it be best to purchase a new one rather than the same model? Could the specifications or type of PSU affect the issue? Also, did I place the PSU upside down to improve airflow, and could that be contributing to the problem?

The position of the PSU doesn't really matter as long as it gets enough airflow; just try it upright if you can. It's not crucial, but it won't cause any issues. Regarding actions, examine the PSU closely, particularly clean the fans—excess dust and debris can lead to problems. Then verify that the fans are spinning properly. Inspect the power cord for any damage and also check the wall outlet for signs of wear. Look for burn marks near the outlets themselves, making sure they aren't broken. Perform a quick smell test. Test all the connections by pressing the leads into their sockets to ensure they're secure, and spend some time reviewing each connection. Also, clean the interior thoroughly, paying attention to dust buildup around the fans.
