for me to make that happen, I’d probably need to replace the 300w psu that came with it. Starstruck when I got it about ten years ago, right?

In such a scenario, a complete system overhaul would be required. However, if you're aiming for a budget-friendly approach and want to run some older games, opting for a 1650 Super is perfectly acceptable—just a bit more than necessary for that specific CPU, but it should work fine
