The HDD is intended for storing video editing files. Having multiple drives can lead to performance issues, as the system monitors their combined usage to identify which one is slowing things down.

I would store the funds on a 250-500gb SSD and set it as the main or sole storage device to guarantee rapid access and eliminate any chance of mistakes from the user. Running a virus scan on the traditional hard drive could lead to complications.

I really don’t understand the purpose of having two entries in Task Manager. It seems like the second one isn’t showing up at all, so it probably isn’t being used. There was an original version included, but then another was added—maybe for some reason?

I tried a setup with an SSD plus an HDD (the HDD failed sadly). That second drive doesn’t significantly slow things down unless you’re doing specific tasks. Or, if those drives are faulty, it’s affecting overall performance even when idle. Make sure to review the SMART status via HWInfo for confirmation.

I attempted to review the homework information, but the admin prevented the app from starting.

The loose connector might mean the drive isn’t fully partitioned, which is why it’s missing from the task manager, or it could be completely unresponsive.

Consider restarting the PC first—it might fix about 80% of the performance issues quickly. However, for a more lasting solution, open the CPU cooler and blow out any dust with compressed air. This is likely the biggest reason for the high temperatures.

Additionally, you have the option to turn off the page file on the hard drives and keep it active solely on the solid-state drives.
