Starting from the basics, my PC details belong to me. I require steady 50-60 frames per second, and higher is even better for games like Battelfield 4/1 and Rainbow 6 Siege. I’m considering either a 1440p or a 4K display, around 27-32 inches. I currently use a 21:9 29-inch screen that runs at 100 fps on Battlefield 4 with ultra settings. A 1440p screen would likely match performance since both monitors are 2560 across. My graphics card is a 3GB model, and I’m not very familiar with PC specs, but I assume higher resolution means more VRAM needed. So there’s a chance it might not be enough? I don’t have much budget left for upgrades, and most would go toward a better monitor. I could probably find another 780TI on Craigslist for $300, but I’d prefer to keep the same card. Also, VRAM requirements don’t add up so much, so 3GB should still suffice. Extra tip: a 1440p setup would let you hit 120/144Hz too, whereas my Ultra Wide and 4K are capped at 60Hz. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Hq6DCJ

The 780ti won't be enough for 4K resolution. A GTX 1080 is required to process 4K smoothly.

780Ti won't suffice for this setup. With a single-card 4K setup and high performance, you're aiming for 1080p. Other cards can manage 4K, but you'd need to adjust the settings down.

Choose 4k or ultra for 1080p at medium settings. The distinction matters, but the cost of a 4k monitor may be justified if you value higher resolution.

You could use medium quality at high resolution. At first, I set everything to low for GTA 5 in 4k, but it only gave me about 30 frames per second.

Medium at 2160p60 seems reasonable, actually, it's likely even higher at that resolution. Personally, though, it's better to opt for a budget-friendly 980 Ti or Fury X if you need 2160p.

It varies a lot depending on the title. On my GTX980 I managed 4k ultra BF4 around 30fps, Rocket League at ultra 4k hit 60fps, SNOW at 40-45fps, Project Cars at 50+fps (excluding AA), Mad Max at 50+fps, and MGS5 at 45+fps in 4k. Games like KSP, Civ5, War Thunder, and older titles also perform well at 4k. Some titles such as Rise of the TR, Witcher 3, FC4, or FO4 struggle to reach 15fps even in ultra 4k.

No, the 780Ti isn't strong enough.
