It offers only a minor improvement for a significant investment. A Ryzen 5600X might be worth considering, but it won’t fit your motherboard. The optimal choice is upgrading the graphics card if possible.

You’d notice a clear improvement with the 3600, and it makes sense to aim for 16GB of 3200MHz RAM (or quicker). Using dual channels with 16GB plus higher clock speeds will make a big difference, possibly letting you skip the 3600 altogether.

What’s the problem? Which games are you using? Assuming 1080p, it seems your GPU might be the bottleneck—even with a stronger CPU it could still lag in certain titles due to its limitations.
