Your system started with limited memory and a slower processor speed. You upgraded to more RAM and a faster chip, which improved performance. Adding 8 GB of 2400 MHz RAM should further boost your game experience. It makes sense to upgrade, especially with your current setup. This change should definitely enhance performance and is a worthwhile investment.

For that specific case, the gaming performance won't improve much; claiming an extra frame rate wouldn't be realistic.

you’re not choosing the same brand because of performance, compatibility, or cost reasons.

You're likely using a laptop with 4GB of RAM at 2400Mhz. Adding another 8GB of RAM at the same speed is ideal for boosting performance in tasks like booting, file access, and app loading. For gaming, let me know if your device has a dedicated graphics card (such as NVidia or Radeon) or not.

You're using an Acer Swift 3 with an i5-8250U processor, a MX150 GPU, and 4 GB of RAM (though it wasn't soldered). For gaming, if swapping to an 8 GB 2400 MHz RAM doesn't enhance performance, you might stick with the current setup. The i5-8250U only handles up to 2400 MHz.

It won't help. Like there won't be a noticeable increase going from 2133 to 2400mhz. It's been looked in to before there is basically no difference for 8th gen.

4+4GB RAM works well for regular daily tasks. However, it offers limited performance for gaming.

From a technical standpoint, the request isn't about making changes. Our feedback should stay neutral since there are no issues to address.
