Hey there! Your current setup is solid, but upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600 X could be a good move depending on your needs. Let me break it down for you.

It would work well but switching to a 5600 non-x offers better value since it matches the same clocks, core counts and performance stats as the 5600x while costing 30 bucks less.

Hello, thanks for reaching out! I understand you're wondering if the 5600 offers better performance compared to your current setup. It might depend on your build, but there could be a slight improvement with the 5600x that isn't worth the extra 30€. Let me know if you'd like more details!

it doesn't offer superior performance, it's just the same. it's also 30 euros cheaper than the 5600x on average. for each builder, they'd say the 5600 non-x is more value for your money.

The Ryzen 5 5600G is the most affordable option among the three, while the 5600X offers more performance but at a higher price.

The 5600G includes built-in graphics, yet performs at a similar speed to a Ryzen 5 3600. The 5600 and 5600X offer comparable performance, roughly 20% quicker than the 5600G for general use.

I agree with this too—the 5600 is built using an older Zen 2+ process node, which is essentially a year behind in terms of the chip itself, and it doesn’t match the performance of the 5600. I’d prefer to choose the 5600 instead.

It leans closer to the 3600-5600 range. Reducing cache usage can be fixed with fast RAM—either a single 5000 DDR4 stick or a dual 4000-4200 DDR4 setup. You can also boost both the 5600 and 5600X to 4.6-4.8 allcore speeds, which should outpace a stock 5600. An overclocked 5600g or 5600 with RAM at 4.6-4.8 will likely match a regular 5600, though it may struggle with highly cache-heavy games like Factorio.
